NMAT 2011 Exam Date
The NMAT 2011 exam will be conducted in a 3 month testing window from October 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010.
Eligibility Criteria for NMAT 2011 Admission
NMAT 2011 MBA Core
Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate. Two years post qualification work experience will be preferred. Candidates appearing for final year degree exam can also apply.
NMAT 2011 MBA Actuarial Science
Candidates should have attained any of the following Educational Standards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate at graduation/post graduation degree level examination.
a. Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics / Mathematics / Engineering /Economics / Computer Science / Allied Sciences with minimum 50% marks in Aggregate. Two years post qualification work experience will be preferred.
b. Graduate or Post Graduate with Mathematical subjects. For this purpose following subjects constitute mathematical subjects :

Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) – Bangalore & Hyderabad Campus Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate. Two years post qualification work experience will be preferred. Candidates appearing final year degree exam can also apply.
NMAT 2011 MBA Pharmaceutical Management
Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Life Sciences, Medical doctors (MBBS), BSMS, BHMS,BAMS, B.Sc and M.Sc in Biotechnology from a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate. Candidates with Post Graduate degree in Economics, Psychology and Sociology are also eligible.
Please note that separate selection process will be conducted & a separate merit list will be drawn for MBA Pharmaceutical Management Programme.
Full Time EPGDBM (Bangalore Campus) Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from recognized University OR Equivalent pattern recognized by the UGC & AIU with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate. Five Years Post qualification work experience in Supervisory / Executive Cadre as on 31st December 2010 is essential
NMAT 2011 Eligibility Criteria for International candidates
Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from recognized University bythe AIU with minimum 50% marks in aggregate or ‘B’ Grade /equivalent CGPA. Two years post qualification work experience will be preferred. Candidates with valid GMAT score of 650 and above can apply.
Following documents to be produced at the time of NMAT 2011 Group Discussion/ Personal Interview (for shortlisted candidates only).
1) Statement of Purpose (SOP) : Reason for applying to the proposed programme, study interests, future career plans etc.
2) Letter of Recommendation : Two testimonials are required. Recommendation letter should be from a faculty member/Professional Associate /Referee at the last school you attended as a full time student or
from work associates who can comment on your academic potential for graduate work.
3) English Proficiency : Adequate command of spoken and written English is required for admission.
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) scores are required of all applicants whose first language is not English.
4) Visas : Student has to maintain an appropriate visa status for their stay in the India.
The following criteria are common for all programmes
3.2 Candidates who have not cleared their graduation in the first attempt are NOT eligible to apply.
Further, those candidates who have cleared their graduation by doing a part-time course or through distance learning /correspondence /externally/open school are not eligible to apply.
3.3 Candidates appearing for their graduation examination can also apply but their admission to the Programmes will be subject to obtaining the required minimum cut off marks and also producing all the necessary documents, in original, within the given stipulated time.
3.4 Those candidates who have passed, or, have appeared for graduation examination from a University where Grade Point Average is given, such candidates must produce in writing from the University concerned about the equivalent percentage for the GPA obtained.
3.5 The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate from any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
3.6 It is sole responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they possess the necessary and requisite qualification for the admission at NMIMS.
3.7 If at any stage, it is found that a candidate does not satisfy the eligibility criteria or the information furnished by him/ her in the online registration is incorrect, his/her application for the admission to the Programme, even if selected, will stand cancelled. Candidates appearing for NMAT , Group
NMAT 2011 Discussion & Personal Interview will do so at their own risk of eventually forfeiting their NMAT 2011 admission for want of meeting the eligibility criteria.
