PGIMER Admission Requirements for MD / MS Courses :

To be eligible for PGI Chandigarh admission to MD / MS course, a candidate must possess the following qualifications ;

a) MBBS passed or its equivalent qualification from a University / Institute recognized by Medical Council of India with not more than one attempt made during MBBS course. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes / Tribes with up to two attempts during MBBS career will be eligible.

b) Must have either completed or due to complete one year internship (rotatory housemanship) training by 30th June / 31st December for July and January session respectively.

c) Must be registered with Central / State Medical Registration Council.



PGIMER 2011 Admission Requirements for DM / MCh Courses :

A. Age limit as on 1st July / 1st January for session starting from July and January respectively.

* For Open Category : 35 years
* For SC / ST, Ex-Serviceman and Commissioned Officer including ECO, SSCO who have rendered or released on satisfactory assignment (Please attach the proof) : 40 years
* Deputed / Sponsored candidates : No age limit

B. PGIMER Entrance Exam Qualification Requirement :

For all PGIMER DM courses except for DM (Clinical Pharmacology, Neuro Radiology, Pediatric Haematology-Oncology, Pediatric Critical Care, Haematopathology, Cardiac Anaesthesia, Pediatric Neurology) course :

a) MD degree in Medicine or Paediatrics or its equivalent qualification recognized by the Medical Council of India, except as otherwise indicated.

b) Must be registered with the Central / State Medical Registration Council.

For DM (Clinical Pharmacology) course : MD degree in Pharmacology or its equivalent qualification in any clinical subject recognised by the Medical Council of India.

For DM (Neuro Radiology) course : MD degree in Radiology or its equivalent qualification recognised by the Medical Council of India.

For DM (Pediatric-Neurology) course : MD degree in Pediatrics or equivalent degree.

For MCh (Plastic Surgery) Courses :

a) MS degree in General Surgery / MS (ENT) / MS (Orthopedics) or its equivalent qualification recognised by the Medical Council of India.

The Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi, would be conducting the All-India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental (AIPMT) Entrance Examination. This entrance examination is being conducted exclusively for the 15% merit positions for the Medical/Dental Colleges of India as specified in the directive of the court and will be governed by the rules and regulations specified for the same by the Government of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare from time to time. AIPMT Exam Pattern – (AIPMT 2011) : Preliminary Examination : The duration of paper would be 3 hours. The Preliminary Examination would consist of one paper containing 200 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany Zoology) to be answered on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet using Ball Point Pen only. All India Pre – Medcal / Pre – Dental Entrance Exam – AIPMT Entrance Exam 2011 Eligibility Details (i) He/She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course and is an INDIAN NATIONAL. (ii) The upper age limit for All India Pre-Medical /Pre-Dental Entrance Examination is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes. Candidate must born on or between * 01.01.82 to 01.01.95 (SC/ST/OBC Category) * 01.01.87 to 01.01.95 (Other Category) (iii) Students from the States of Andhra Pradesh/J&K are not eligible, as both these States had opted out of All India Scheme since its inception. If they claim eligibility they must submit an affidavit, in original, in the Proforma on Rs 10/- Non-Judicial Stamp Paper duly sworn before and attested by a Metropolitan Magistrate/First Class Judicial Magistrate to the effect that:- Medical Entrance Exam Question Bank CD a) They are not eligible to appear for MBBS/BDS seats in the States of Andhra Pradesh/J&K and hence not eligible to seek admission in Medical/ Dental Colleges of Andhra Pradesh/J&K. and b) They are not domiciled in Andhra Pradesh/ J&K. . Note : Applications not accompanied with the required affidavits or accompanied with incomplete, unattested or photocopy of the affidavit shall be summarily rejected without any further reference in the matter. The affidavits submitted by such candidates will be verified and if found to be false, the admission of all such candidates shall be cancelled and criminal proceedings may be initiated against them. For Format of Affidavit please see Appendix IV. (iv) Qualifications and Qualifying examination Codes : CODE : 01 The Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education. NOTE : where the course content is not as prescribed for 10 +2 education structure of the National Committee, the candidates will have to undergo a period of one year pre – professional training before admission to the Medical Colleges. OR CODE : 02 The Intermediate/Pre-degree Examination in Science of an Indian University/Board or other recognised examining body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology /Bio-technology (which shall include practical test in these subjects) and English. OR CODE : 03 The Pre-professional/Pre-medical Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology & English after passing either the Higher Secondary Examination or the Pre-University or an equivalent examination. The Pre-professional/Pre-medical examination shall include practical test in these subjects. OR CODE : 04 The first year of the three years' degree course of a recognised University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology including practical tests in these subjects provided the examination is a University Examination and further that he/she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English. OR CODE : 05 B.Sc. Examination of an Indian University provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc. Examination with not less than two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Bio-technology and further that he/ she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. OR CODE : 06 Any other examination which in scope and standard (Last 02 years of 10+2 Study comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology ; Which shall include practical test in these subjects.) is found to be equivalent to the Intermediate Science Examination of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology including practical tests in each of these subjects and English. CODE : 07 A candidate who is taking up the qualifying examination prior to the competitive test, or whose result is awaited, may also apply and take up the said test but he/she shall not be eligible for admission to the MBBS or BDS, if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage of marks at the time of first round of allotment by personal appearance. Provided that to be eligible for competitive entrance examination, candidate must have passed any of the qualifying examinations as enumerated above. Provided also that to be eligible for competitive entrance examination the candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Bio-technology at the qualifying examination. In respect of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology /Bio-technology taken together in qualifying examination and competitive entrance examination (Physics,Chemistry and Biology) be 40% marks instead of 50% for General Candidates. Further, for persons with locomotory disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for Gen-PH and 40% marks for SCPH/ ST-PH/OBC-PH are required. Provided further that the students of Indian Nationality educated abroad seeking admission into medical colleges in India must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English upto the 12th standard level with 50% marks and their equivalency determined as per regulations of the Medical Council of India and the concerned University. If a candidate does not fall within the qualifications prescribed as per Code number 01-06 he/she should furnish complete details to determine eligibility. (vi) RESERVATION Reservation will be made as per following details in 15% All India quota : (i) 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates, (ii) 7.5% seats are reserved for ST candidates, (iii) 27% seats are reserved for non-creamy layer OBC candidates in Central Educational Institutions only as per Hon'ble Supreme Court order dated 10.04.2008. Reservation would be applicable to the castes mentioned in the Central list of OBC. Thus, the candidates falling in this list may mention OBC in the Categary Column in application form. Candidates from creamy layer and do not come under Central List are advised to mention their category as General. (iii) 27% seats are reserved for non-creamy layer OBC candidates in Central Educational Institutions only as per Hon'ble Supreme Court order dated 10.04.2008, (iv) 3% seats are reserved on horizantal basis for PH candidates. The reservation will be made as per 2200 point reservation roster.The mode of implementation of reservation will be available on DGHS website-www.mohfw.nic.in. Note : (a) The Pre-medical course may be conducted either at a Medical College or at a Science College . (b) After the 10+2 course is introduced the integrated courses be abolished. (c) Marks obtained in Mathematics are not to be considered for admission to M.B.B.S. Course. (d) No State eligibility criteria will be applicable to the students who take admission under 15% All India Quota Scheme.

Armed Forces Medical College Entrance Exam – AFMC MBBS 2011

1. Applications are invited for AFMC Admission 2011 to the MBBS course at Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, commencing from Aug 2011. Total 130 candidates (including a maximum of 25 girls) will be selected.

AFMC 2011 Exam Date : 01 May, 2011

All the 105 boys and 25 girls admitted to Armed Forces Medical College, Pune have compulsory liability to serve as commissioned officers in the Armed Forces Medical Services on graduation.

The type of commission will depend upon the vacancies available and merit-cum-option at the final MBBS Examination.

The liability of the Short Service Commission (SSC) officers passing out of AFMC to serve the Armed Forces Medical Services would be seven (7) years. All candidates admitted to the college are required to execute a bond to this effect for an amount of Rupee 15 lacs (Rupees Fifteen lacs) at the time of joining the college. Students removed from service liability due to any reason will have to pay the bond money as per conditions laid down by Govt of India.

2. Ten seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates who also have similar service liability and have to fulfil the requirements of medical fitness, age, educational qualification and qualifying the entrance examination as per details given in the prospectus.

3. AFMC 2011 SPECIAL CONCESSIONS : The Govt will provide free accommodation and entitled rations, subsidised messing, AC 3 Tier free railway warrant from college to home and back during vacations, a book subsidy of Rupee 12,000/- during entire training period, uniform allowance of Rupee 6000/- per student during first year and Rupee 1250/- per year as maintenance allowance in subsequent years and any other misc allowances as applicable.

4. All candidates should be medically fit as per laid down standards for the Armed Forces.

5. Only unmarried candidates are eligible. Marriage during the course is not permitted. AFMC college is fully and compulsorily residential both for boys and girls.

AFMC 2011 Scheme of Examination :

The competitive written examination will be of 2 hours duration and will have one paper comprising of 200 objective type questions in the following subjects.

SSU UGET 2011 UG Medical ( MBBS ) Application Procedure
A candidate desirous of appearing in the JSSU UGET 2011 Entrance Test for JSSU UGET 2011 UG Medical ( MBBS ) Admission is required to complete the prescribed JSSU UGET Application Form 2011 and submit to the JSS University in the following ways :



A candidate is required to download the prescribed JSSU UGET MBBS 2011 Application Form from the JSS University website www.jssuni.edu.in and submit the completed JSSU UGET Exam 2011 Form to the JSS University on or before the scheduled date 29th April, 2011 at 5.00 p.m. The downloaded and printed JSSU UGET 2011 application form should be sent along with a processing fee of  2,000/- only by way of DD favouring "JSS University Fee Account, Mysore", payable at Mysore along with the documents listed below. *
Candidates may also obtain the JSS University UGET 2011 Application Form along with the JSSU UGET Brochure by sending a application fee of 200/- only by way of DD favouring "JSS University Fee Account, Mysore", payable at Mysore. The duly filled JSSU UGET Exam 2011 application form should be sent to the University along with documents listed below enclosing DD for 2,000/- favouring "JSS University Fee Account, Mysore", payable at Mysore.
Announcement of the JSSU UGET 2011 merit list on website will be done on 15th June, 2011.
The Counseling will be held at JSS University, Mysore for UG Medical ( MBBS ) Course on 01st July, 2011 ( Provisional Date ). The JSSU UGET 2011 Counseling Process will be announced on the JSS University website www.jssuni.edu.in.

Foreign Nationals seeking admission should obtain eligibility certificate issued by JSS University, Mysore.
Processing fee of 2,000/- only by way of DD favouring "JSS University Fee Account, Mysore", payable at Mysore. The candidate should write name , address and "Application for JSSU UGET 2011 Admission to MBBS Courses" on the back side of the Demand Draft.
Notes :
Candidates who are likely to appear or who have appeared for qualifying examination i.e. PUC – II / 10+2 / HSC or equivalent but whose results have not been declared will also be considered to appear for JSSU UGET 2011, provided they have appeared for the said examination. However it is responsibility of the applicant to ensure the HSC / 10+2 / PUC marks card copy is sent to the JSS University specifying the TAT No. ( Test Admission Ticket Number ) before 10 June, 2011, failing which, the tie in the rank will be declared on the basis of the JSS University rules, which shall be binding the candidate.
JSS University UGET 2011 Issue of TAT ( Test Admission Ticket ) :
Candidates appearing for JSSU UGET 2011 will be issued a Test Admission Ticket (TAT) for identification. Candidates are required to bring the Test Admission Ticket in original ( Candidate Copy ).
JSSU UGET Exam 2011 Test Admission Ticket gives the details of test centre assigned to the candidate. The candidates are assigned a test centre decided by the JSS University authority during the application processing, itself and no requests for change in JSSU UG Entrance Test Centre would be considered.
JSSU MBBS 2011 TAT Cards will be dispatched to the candidates from the JSS University from 11th May, 2011. The JSSU MBBS 2011 TAT Card will indicate the Roll Number & JSSU UG Examination Centre allotted to the candidate with its address.
The candidate must not mutilate this TAT Card or Change any entry, made therein after the University authorities have authenticated it.
JSS University is not responsible for any loss in transit or for incorrect address given by the candidate in the JSSU UG Entrance Application Form 2011.
Candidates are advised to preserve their TAT in good condition till JSSU MBBS admission in the College is over.
Please recheck the JSS University website http://www.jssuni.edu.in for any changes / updates before leaving your hometown for the JSSU UGET MBBS 2011.
In case a candidate does not get his / her TAT Card ( JSSU UGET 2011 Hall Ticket ) by 18th May, 2011 by post / courier, he / she should contact University office immediately. Arrangement will be made for the issue of duplicate TAT Cards at the 'Help Desk' established on the previous day of the examination at respective examination centers. In such a situation, candidate should bring two photographs which are identical to the photo affixed to application form, along with his / her proof of submission / posting of JSSU UGET 2011 application form or school / college identity card. In case no proof is submitted duplicate JSSU UGET 2011 TAT Card will not be issued.
